On Forgiveness

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matt 6 : 15  This is a very strong statement from the Lord Jesus, one of those rare moments he speaks bluntly on issues the Father takes seriously...and Forgiveness is one of them.  Forgiveness is a very important and crucial subject in the life of a believer. It make relationship and fellowship with God complete and satisfying; and without it, one is susceptible to a life of struggle and falling into the trap of the enemy. It is so important that it is an access key to receiving answers to your prayers and forgiveness from God for your own trespasses. So, in other words, when you hold a grudge against anyone who has wronged you, God will also not forgive you and your prayers stand a risk of being hindered and unanswered.  Forgiveness is an act, not just in words or just waving it off. It primarily stems from the heart and followed by an act of kindness as a proof that

On the Woman

A gracious woman retaineth honor:.. strength and honor are her clothing...She opens her mouth in wisdom ; and in her tongue is the law of kindness .  Prov 11 : 16; 31: 25 -26   There has been quite a lot of  teachings, concepts and also a few misconceptions on the subject of this amazing creation that God has perfectly designed for the benefit of the whole earth, and to fulfill the purpose of the expansion of His kingdom. Unfortunately, due to the limit created by the general stereotypical notion of a particular manner that a woman should act or behave, a lot of women have not attained the full potential that God had planned, some has only scratched the surface, and some had it all twisted, therefore getting offended. However this subject explores and points out the deep truths that you may or may not have known, which will enable you enjoy and maximize your potential as a woman or the woman in your life.  Firstly, the opening scripture aligns out some amazing attrib

On Supplication

And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.  Matthew 15 : 7  Supplication is a deeper dimension of prayer. It is resolving to stand in the place of prayer in a very dogged, cause-pleading, fervent, heartfelt, earnest, yet submissive and humble manner until you get the answer you are looking for. It is an entreating and unyielding way of making request to God with all sincerity of heart, backed up up with tangible reasons from the Scripture. Supplication does not let go till it get what it asks.  The opening scripture is the heartfelt plea of a woman in that position and desperately needed an answer and won't go until she gets it. Matthew 15: 21-28 tells this amazing story thus : Jesus was within the area of Tyre and Sidon, and this woman came crying in the most pleading manner she could muster, explaining the predicament of her daughter and requesting healing from Jesus. Surprisingly, Jesus did not answer her

On guidance of the Spirit

If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom  is  profitable to direct.  Ecclesiastes 10 : 10    The Holy Spirit is given to the believer at the time of new birth and accepting the Lord Jesus. His task is to simplify life and make it easier for you; and one of the roles he takes up is to be your Guide in every area of life. Jesus said in John 16:13 that he is the Spirit of truth who guides you into ALL truth. So he is an indispensable compass in the journey of life. However, since your life compass is a Spirit, for you to be able to relate with him and get guidance signals from him, your spirit man also needs to be spiritually sensitive. Jesus also affirmed this when he said that God is a spirit, and those that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4 : 24). So, being in the spirit is an absolute requirement for seeking guidance from the Spirit of God; and operating outside this realm leads to

On Unity of the Brethren

Ephesians 4: 4-6; 16 There is one body , and one Spirit , even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all , who is above all, and through all, and in you all...(v. 4-6)  ... From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. (v.16) The fourth chapter of the book of Ephesians was written and dedicated to every single person in the world that consider themselves a Christian. It is one of the book that specifically addressed the complete body of Christ without including sinners. Interestingly, within that confines among them, there were the proud ones, the unforgiving, the ones who spread divisions, those whose faith are weak, the children, the liars, the immature, the vain-minded, the angry ones, the thieves, the gossips, the bad

On Prayer

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; f or kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty . For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 The thought of prayer could feel cumbersome or tiring when you do not really understand the magnitude of it importance. The opening scripture in 1 timothy 2 said, FIRST of all, prayers should be made for ALL men; that includes the people in leadership and those at the hem of affairs. Why? So that we can live a peaceful and quiet life. So, the responsibility of having peace in our society is largely dependent on how much you interceded.   Prayer is the way to connect to God with our spirits and the effective way to stand in the gap for people who you could not have otherwise r

On Love

1 John 4 : 7  "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God , and knoweth God." 1 John 3:18  "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."    The subject of love has been widely taught, discussed, talked about, spoken of and even expressed both in the positive and negative distorted extremes. However quite a few number have actually paused a bit to understand what LOVE really is, it's content, and how it is really practiced.  The opening scripture of 1 John 3:18 points out that love (just like compassion and mercy,) is in the action, not in words or intents; and 1 Corinthians 13 explains in details the contents of love : it  never gives up, cares more for others than for self.  Love is not jealous, it does not brag, d oesn’t force itself on others, i sn’t always “me first,”  and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done
