Fringe benefits of the Communion

The Flesh and the Blood of Jesus, also known as the Holy Communion is one mystery that has not been fully understood as well in the Christendom as in the non-believing circles. There are divergent opinions about the concept of the Holy Communion and how often it should be taken, that has made it seem 'out-of-reach' to the layman.  However the scripture did not place any cap or duration on how it should be taken. 1 Corinthians 11: 25 rather reveals that we as believers in Christ, are at liberty to take it AS OFTEN AS we drink it :   This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink  it , in remembrance of me. Also, Matthew 26 : 26 shows that Jesus took the bread he used as his body out from the same bread that they were eating from :  And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed  it , and brake  it , and gave  it  to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. This therefore validates the flexibility of communion materials: it is as f

The Kingdom's Playbook

The Kingdom of God is a thing. It is real, and it's becoming more and more revealed in our time and generation. People are gradually realizing the reality and tangibility of it's existence so much that some are already living in it while on earth. That is to say, they are not affected by whatever that is happening to the rest of the world even though they are in still in the world.  However, because this revelation is not so popular, many do not know how to go about living in it or securing their place in it, they either mistake it as a religious / church activity or misunderstand it altogether and avoid it completely. Also, the devil, knowing he has only a short time, is using this ignorance as a tool more and more violently to jam people's heads together against themselves : Christians/non-Christians alike, believers/non-believers alike...in fact, all religions of the world put together. He turned humanity against themselves, because many have lost touch of th

On Condemnation

There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION  to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  Romans 8: 1   Condemnation is one pit that almost everyone must have once fallen into at one point or the other in their lives. You are either thrown into it by others or by yourself, but either way, it is not a good place to be. The good news is that it was never meant for anyone to be there in the first instance, neither is it in the place of any human to condemn another. however, the enemy uses it as a tool to trap those who do not know or understand this truth.  The first thing you need to understand is this very important truth : God DOES NOT condemn you...neither has he given any human the right to do so. He rather find a way to justify and save you. Yes, your sins, the law, or your conscience may try to make you feel condemned, but not God. John 5:22 said :  The Father does not judge anyone but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, but even  Jesu

On Anger

Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.  Ecclesiastes 7 : 9   First of all, look intently at that bird, look directly into its eyes : do you like how it looks back at you? Certainly not. This is almost how you may look like when you get angry, and how uncomfortable you make others feel when you have an expression like that.  Anger is not exactly the best of emotions. When handled badly, it ruins things, destroys long-standing relationships and puts you in a bad light before people. Prov 29 : 22 says that an angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds in transgression. So, anger makes you a trouble maker and highly prone to doing wrong and sinful things because of your state of mind.  Ecclesiastes 7 : 9 says that anger rests in the bosom of fools; so acting in anger actually makes you look foolish because by the time you look back at the action you have taken, or the words you must have spoken, you wished you would nev

On Forgiveness

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matt 6 : 15  This is a very strong statement from the Lord Jesus, one of those rare moments he speaks bluntly on issues the Father takes seriously...and Forgiveness is one of them.  Forgiveness is a very important and crucial subject in the life of a believer. It make relationship and fellowship with God complete and satisfying; and without it, one is susceptible to a life of struggle and falling into the trap of the enemy. It is so important that it is an access key to receiving answers to your prayers and forgiveness from God for your own trespasses. So, in other words, when you hold a grudge against anyone who has wronged you, God will also not forgive you and your prayers stand a risk of being hindered and unanswered.  Forgiveness is an act, not just in words or just waving it off. It primarily stems from the heart and followed by an act of kindness as a proof that

On the Woman

A gracious woman retaineth honor:.. strength and honor are her clothing...She opens her mouth in wisdom ; and in her tongue is the law of kindness .  Prov 11 : 16; 31: 25 -26   There has been quite a lot of  teachings, concepts and also a few misconceptions on the subject of this amazing creation that God has perfectly designed for the benefit of the whole earth, and to fulfill the purpose of the expansion of His kingdom. Unfortunately, due to the limit created by the general stereotypical notion of a particular manner that a woman should act or behave, a lot of women have not attained the full potential that God had planned, some has only scratched the surface, and some had it all twisted, therefore getting offended. However this subject explores and points out the deep truths that you may or may not have known, which will enable you enjoy and maximize your potential as a woman or the woman in your life.  Firstly, the opening scripture aligns out some amazing attrib

On Supplication

And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.  Matthew 15 : 7  Supplication is a deeper dimension of prayer. It is resolving to stand in the place of prayer in a very dogged, cause-pleading, fervent, heartfelt, earnest, yet submissive and humble manner until you get the answer you are looking for. It is an entreating and unyielding way of making request to God with all sincerity of heart, backed up up with tangible reasons from the Scripture. Supplication does not let go till it get what it asks.  The opening scripture is the heartfelt plea of a woman in that position and desperately needed an answer and won't go until she gets it. Matthew 15: 21-28 tells this amazing story thus : Jesus was within the area of Tyre and Sidon, and this woman came crying in the most pleading manner she could muster, explaining the predicament of her daughter and requesting healing from Jesus. Surprisingly, Jesus did not answer her
